With a direct focus on the early detection of lung cancer, the goal of this event is to offer a positive outreach to the community and give lung cancer the immediate attention it needs. Public awareness and support are both key factors in attracting the funding that is needed for this important endeavor.
The race is a means of thanking the participants for the gift they are giving to the future…the gift of life and breath.
An estimated 159,260 Americans died from lung cancer in 2014, accounting for approximately 27% of all cancer deaths.
