Gary Lee Zollinger

October 3, 1948 – September 9, 2007

After a long battle with lung cancer, Gary, 58 passed away on Sunday September 9, 2007. Devoted to his family, friends and faith he is survived by his wife, Thelissa, six children and three grandchildren. Born October 3, 1948 in Logan, Utah, Gary learned early the value of hard work, integrity and faith in God and served as a missionary in Austria for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints (1968-70).

He earned a BS degree from Utah State University with an MBA from the University of Utah. Gary spent over 30 years in the oil, gas and pipeline industry most recently with Pacific Energy Group where he served as Senior Vice President. In addition to his career, he also served extensively in the LDS Church including Bishop and High Councilor.

Gary will forever be remembered for his kind and gentle demeanor, his selflessness and his constant concern for others. He was acutely aware of those suffering from cancer and took great comfort in knowing that "The Gift of Life and Breath" could be a means to alleviate that suffering. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
